G. Douglas Lanois
CFO/Portfolio Manager

Mr. Lanois joined Tremont in 2004 and is a member of the Investment Committee.  He has over 20 years of real estate experience.  He is the Chief Financial Officer as well as being responsible for Tremont Realty Advisors asset management group. Most recently he was CFO of CRES Development Company, a Boston area developer and operator of office and retail properties. 

At CRES he was also an equity investor and mezzanine lender in development transactions on the East Coast.  Previously Mr. Lanois was SVP and CFO at Pembroke Real Estate, the real estate development and management division of Fidelity Investments.  Prior to Pembroke, he was Vice President and Controller at Beacon Properties during the period in which Beacon converted to a REIT.  He also has former experience at AEW in asset management and Laventhol & Horwath where he did his public accounting work and earned his Certified Public Accountant designation. 

He holds a BBA in Accounting and a BS in Hotel/Restaurant Management from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
