Mr. Lanois is the Chief Financial Officer, as well as, being responsible for Tremont portfolio management and investor services activities. He is a member of the Investment Committee and supervises investment closings. Mr. Lanois has over 26 years of real estate experience.
Prior to joining Tremont, he was CFO of CRES Development Company, a Boston area developer and operator of office and retail properties. CRES is also an equity investor and mezzanine lender in development transactions on the East Coast. Previously, Mr. Lanois was SVP and CFO at Pembroke Real Estate, the real estate development and management division of Fidelity Investments. At Pembroke he managed various development projects globally. Prior to Pembroke, he was Vice President and Controller at Beacon Properties during the period in which Beacon converted to a publicly traded REIT.
He also has former experience at AEW in asset management and Laventhol & Horwath where he did his public accounting work and earned his Certified Public Accountant designation. He serves as Co-Chair of the Educational Committee of the Real Estate Finance Association of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board. He holds a BBA in Accounting and a BS in Hotel/Restaurant Management from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
