Mr. Lanois is the Chief Financial Officer, and is responsible for Tremont’s portfolio management and investor services activities. He is an Investment Committee member for the Company’s investment management division on behalf of institutional and high net worth investors and supervises investment closings. Mr. Lanois has over 29 years of real estate experience.
Prior to joining Tremont, Mr. Lanois was CFO of CRES Development Company, a Boston area investor and developer and operator of office and retail properties. Previously, Mr. Lanois was SVP and CFO at Pembroke Real Estate, the real estate development and management division of Fidelity Investments. At Pembroke he supervised asset management over various development projects globally. Prior to Pembroke, he was Vice President and Controller at Beacon Properties during the period in which Beacon converted to a publicly traded REIT.
He also has former experience at AEW in asset management and Laventhol & Horwath where he did his public accounting work and earned his Certified Public Accountant designation. He is a board member of the North Shore Community Development Coalition and past Co-Chair of the Educational Committee of the Real Estate Finance Association of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board. He holds a BBA in Accounting and a BS in Hotel/Restaurant Management from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
